All Will Be In Order (PG/mild profanity, firewhisky | gen | GoF>OotP)

When Remus Lupin moves in at number twelve, Grimmauld Place, he must come to terms with Sirius Black and a friendship too long submerged by mistrust, loss, and Azkaban. He must learn to work with Molly Weasley, who seems to be nearly as frightened of werewolves as she is of Voldemort. Clearly, adjustments will have to be made.

1. The Perfect Flat (3700 words | PG)
Remus locked his flat, climbed a narrow dark staircase, and opened the building's front door to a sunny June morning. His eyes were dazzled by the sudden brightness, so he heard the gruff bark before he saw the huge, shaggy black dog bounding toward him from behind a row of dustbins.

2. The First Mission (4200 words | PG)
"Housecleaning?" Ginny was incredulous.

The twins were no happier. "You want us to spend our entire summer holiday—"

"—our last summer holiday—"

"—shut up in a great, filthy house?"

"And what do you mean, I'm not allowed to write to Harry about what we're doing?" Ron's ears were redder than his hair.

3. A Long Summer (5490 words | PG)
Sirius tipped his head back, closed his eyes, and let the liquor slide down his throat, burning all the way. He sat still for a moment and waited for the tingle in his hands and feet that spoke of really good firewhisky, well aged.

Sighing in blessed relief, he looked up to find Remus watching him, eyes twinkling in his tired, slightly grimy face.

"That bad, eh?"

"Gah." Sirius poured himself another three fingers. "Mages preserve us from that woman!"

4. A Few Surprises (3560 words | PG)
Dumbledore emerged from the Floo with a smudge of soot on the end of his long, crooked nose. "Ah, hello, Sirius," he said brightly. "You're looking well."

Sirius heard Remus enter the kitchen behind him. "I'll be looking even better as soon as I get out of this house! What's the mission you've got for us?"

Dumbledore glanced over Sirius's shoulder at Remus before answering. "I'm sorry," he said gently, "but the mission is for Remus specifically."

Sirius scowled. "Fine." He tapped the kettle with his wand and it boiled at once. "Then find another one for me."

5. The Full Moon (3420 words | PG)
A corner of Sirius’s lip curled into a belligerent smirk—a challenge. "Full moon last night, you know."

"Oh." Molly went pale. "I hadn't realised." She was unable to repress a shudder.

Sirius gave her a frosty look. "There's really no need to be so melodramatic about it."

"I'm sorry," she said stiffly. "But you must admit the idea is quite frightening."

"If you think the idea is frightening, try asking Remus how much he enjoys the transformation itself." Sirius bent over the newspaper again.

6. A New Order (3960 words | PG)
“Be sure you pay attention when you’re working for Voldemort,” said Sirius, seizing the opportunity to vent his frustration at his favourite target of old. “Don’t forget whose side you’re really on.”

“I am hardly likely to forget,” said Snape, dripping venom. “I cannot afford mistakes when I am standing at the Dark Lord’s side.” His lip curled. “I understand it is you we have to thank for the housecleaning—such as it is—at this miserable headquarters.” The smirk grew. “Sirius Black, tied to Molly Weasley’s apron strings. Imagine.”

Sirius narrowed his eyes and wrapped his fingers around his wand.

Definitely! I've got sections of all of the remaining chapters done, and Ch 3 of "Order" will be one of the very next projects I try to finish. Maybe by the end of April?

Hi there,

Is there any chance of this fic being updated? I really like the idea of Molly having to realise that whatever she 'knows' about werewolves is, at the very least half-truths focussing on the negatives and having to overcome her prejudice, at least with Remus. It's an idea that is rarely ever explored in fics.

I read this fic about a year (or more) ago and absolutely adored it :3

Is there any chance of an update? ever?
I love you're writting style and the fact that prejudice plays such a significant part in your story. I hope you'll update! (even if it has alreay been a year o_0)

I wrote about half of the final chapter last year, and then I sort of got stuck, but I've actually started working on it again just this week and I think I see how to finish it. Give me a couple of weeks and see what I can do! ;)

I just read this series and LOVED it! I wish it was podfic'd so I could listen to it and experience it again. I am SURE I missed some of your hints and details and lovely turns of phrase on the first read-through.

But oh - I love how you develop that relationship between Molly and Remus so gradually, and that the ultimate zenith is her muttering about him as she goes to get dinner ready - ha!

Beautiful, and sweet, and such great, spot-on characterization. And what an intriguing moment with the twins figuring out about the map!

Oh, gosh, thanks for such kind words!

I love the close relationship we see between Molly and Remus in canon. But she is so obviously afraid of the other werewolf on Arthur's ward at St. Mungo's, and then there was Ron's unfortunate reaction to Remus in the Shrieking Shack, and all that made me wonder why Molly seemed so fond of Remus in OotP.
