The Fire and Hemlock book discussion entered something of a lull before we all got around to trying to figure out what the heck the ending of the book means and where all the pieces in that climactic final scene came from. I'd been thinking about giving the coals a poke to see if we could get any new flames to shoot up, but -- even better -- [livejournal.com profile] gilpin25 has been back and has posted about the ending, the age difference, the opal, the horse, and other thought-provoking things. So do jump back in if you have thoughts to provoke.

And, while I'm posting -- remember that Remus/Tonks drabble/drawble meme? There have been a number of drabbles and fics posted for that already (hooray), but here's a reminder that the masterlist will go up on or near September 1. There's still almost a week to get inspired. :) (And more links can always be added to the masterlist after September 1; life is flexible around here.) I think I'll have the first HBP chapter of Kaleidoscope done in time...

I'm still aiming for finishing my drabble on time!
Things have been rather hectic around here lately, and my games fic has been suffering for it, so there hasn't been much writing besides that one lately. But I hope I'm getting there :)

I'm so behind on discussion! Ahhh!

In my defense, I haven't been at home very much recently, having had two long weekends away, and my at-home time has been occupied with tedious things like getting the washing turned around in time.

I have stuff to say though! I'm heading over now for a read and a comment. :)

*waves* I wondered how you were getting on, and if life was actually letting you get on! Time-turners should be automatically supplied to all writers - and I'll have the first one going. ;)

Sign me up for a time-turner! That would come in so handy these days ;D

The fic is moving forward, if not as steady as I want it to. I hope I'll have something to send you by the end of this week, deadline is getting a bit too close now. Wasn't it just June..?

I really want to have something written for this meme too. Especially since I talked to [livejournal.com profile] shimotsuki about this being good timing for having one, I'd feel really bad if I turn up with nothing.

How about you, does life give you any writing time these days?

I read you comments about Fire and Hemlock, and I have to say that reading the comment thread is almost as entertaining as reading the book itself;) I do feel I ought to read it again to comment any more though, the details are starting to slip a bit:)

I can sympathize with hectic! ;P

Good luck with your games fic -- and if you don't have time for poor Tonks, I'm sure she'll forgive you. ;) (Though I'd love to read anything you managed to write for it.)

I want one, too! Just spent my whole evening on a (*cough* slightly late) blind peer review for a journal, instead of thinking about Polly and Tom (and all the new comments really provide some food for thought), or making any progress on the first of a certain famous million arguments (which I've been trying to write for about a week and keep writing around).

And I didn't even finish the peer review, lol.

(All of which is to say I'm looking forward to getting back into the F&H discussion myself in a day or so!)

Oh, I can so relate!

I have lots of thoughts about the new comments (hooray!) on the discussion post -- and probably no time to get them organized for another day or two, heh. But I'll be back!

I'm sorry to say I have not finished Fire and Hemlock. I had intended to the weekend my Mother started having all of her health Problems. Needless to say, it hasn't happened yet. I really want to get it finished. Glad to see I haven't missed to much sounds like!

Hey, hi!

Of course you've had too many things going on just to read some old book. *hugs* Don't even think about it. But the discussion has been really interesting (wait till you see what [livejournal.com profile] katyhasclogs said today about some of the real-life inspiration for Seb -- good heavens!), so if you're looking for something to take your mind off things now or later, it'll be there to be perused.

How's your mom doing? Is she feeling any better?

Thank you!

I'm not so sure poor Tonks would forgive me if I don't get any R/T done, though, considering the pairing I'm writing now, haha ;)

I do have two ideas, one of them inspired by the Pottermore bio. Getting my thoughts organized is the problem. As well as the lack of a time-turner:)

It definitely was just June. Sometime last week!

I am aiming to have something done for this meme, but need a couple of very good writing days after the last two were sabotaged - in a good way - by circumstance. Yesterday, for example, a RL friend who I'd been trying to meet up with for ages, phoned in the morning and said, "Can you do right NOW?" And I did, and we had an excellent time, but I got back late at night and very tired and part of me was thinking all the way home, "Noooooooo! Remus and Tonks!!!"

The Fire and Hemlock thread is very good, thought-provoking entertainment, isn't it? So many minds, so much thinking!

Will be looking forward to your fic, whenever you get chance. :)

Oh, so you're one of *those* people, are you? ;)

I'm only joking of course - in my experience we're just grateful to get a review, never mind whether it was in by the deadline!
