Thanks so much! I'm glad you liked the characters here. I like to think of Remus and Lily as having a strong friendship, especially if they were Gryffindor prefects together.
And you've said exactly what I think about Remus in DH -- he's been pushed and pushed past his breaking point until he finally snaps. So I did want to show a kind of foreshadowing of that with this story.
