I really wanted to make this complicated for Remus -- and for Tonks as well, as you rightly point out -- it's not all angst, but it's not all easy either. So I'm glad that was something that stood out for you. (I had some fun with the last couple of lines, too, which mean more than Arthur realizes just now...)
PS: After I'd written this, I had a sudden moment of panic that maybe your Ministry marriage bureaucrat, who was a lot less accommodating than Mr. Johnson, was also a Thaddeus? And then I couldn't find that WIP on your fic journal to check. But if you had that name first, I can easily change mine. ;)
