But I was also thinking that, even for Tonks, there was a time in her life when she didn't know a werewolf, and she must have had to get used to the idea at some level. Whereas for Teddy, lycanthropy has just always been part of how life is -- no adjustment necessary!
Although I can imagine some interesting plotbunnies for Teddy's first encounter with anti-werewolf prejudice, or the first time he reads or hears about how bad the transformation actually is...
