I can just imagine how it must be for Teddy to be let loose on a mild spring day, how the fresh air and the smell of green things greet him as he opens the door and run outside. And I love this: a pair of emphatically orange earmuffs. I love that something can be emphatically orange! I know just what they look like. :D
It's interesting to see Remus realise how different his current situation is from (practically) all of the rest of his experience in life. To find himself not grasping at the next passing straw to keep afloat, but rather enjoying what he has in the moment. I also really like the hints of the story that went before, and all the work that must have been involved to change the laws, and how this is the personal culmination of that work for Remus.
