I'm so glad to hear today was better.

I think it's very fitting to have the tension between Sirius and Molly ecalate even more by him taking exception to her fear of Remus

This was one of the earliest ideas I had for this story, so it's been fun fleshing it out. (Poor Remus, though; I'm being hard on him again.)

the reasons behind Sirius' suspicion of Remus being the spy being wholly human ones

I've just got a gut feeling that for James and Sirius, their friend was Remus first and a werewolf only incidentally; I'm betting they never saw his condition as defining him. (And maybe that sense of separation is what led Sirius to The Prank? Hmm.)

I don't know if I'm telling you something you already know - but they are frequently accused here in the press of taking over every little shop going!:D

Tesco was the only British supermarket I could think of, so I looked them up on Wikipedia to confirm that they were old enough to use for Remus's Muggle job in the first war, but there I saw a mention of several other chains they'd bought up, including Hillards in northern England. So then I Googled "Hillards Sheffield" and found a forum where people were reminiscing about shopping there -- bingo. I only meant it as a sort of scene-setting detail, but if that remark turned out to sound like wry wit on Remus's part, then it's lucky for me! ;)

Thanks so much for the lovely comments, and the reassurance that Molly and the building tension among the three of them are reading okay.

Now I just have to get my head back out of this time period and into the one for my Jumble fic...
