But what's going on here is, part of my brain really does want to be working on this fic project; I just get tired and end up doing time-wasting things that feel less satisfying in the end than writing would have.
I totally relate to that. Writing is so satisfying, but it's not really an easy hobby, when when work has eaten up the brain cells... Why can't fanfic be a paid profession??
