It's better than a meme -- it's a challenge. From
jdbracknell:

{Take the 100 Things challenge!}
I hope this will:
My 100 Things will be 100 Adventures. And what's an 'adventure'? That remains to be seen -- but cooking adventures and brief tales of adventures past are not out of the question.
Anybody else out there got 100 Things? I'd love to read about yours. :)

{Take the 100 Things challenge!}
I hope this will:
- get me posting more regularly
- be a chance to gain experience writing creative non-fiction
- get more conversations and thoughts going all around the f-list

You should join in! You could even do "100 Weird Conversations at Starbucks", lol.

If I have that many conversations at Starbucks, I'll never get anything written. ;)
On the other hand, if I expand that to 100 Weird Conversations Around Town, I can include Walmart and that'll get me 100 really fast, LOL.

I think you can probably come up with a pretty good set of "100 Strange Dreams I've Had". ;)

(Seriously, those are like two of the most incongruous shows I can think of, so I'd love to see what your subconscious did there!)

Alas, I don't remember how the two meshed in my dream.

I'm still floored by how fast and wide this meme has spread. I'm so proud of

I love that this idea has caught on so well. I can't wait to see what everyone starts posting.

I'm having a hard time coming up with something, that neither I nor my flist will tire off before the 20th post. ;)

Are you going to try it? I might have to think of something that can be split up, because 100 posts about the same thing, I'm afraid I'll end up boring myself. ;)

My first ambition is to finish off the LJ post I started in February - in which amongst other highlights I mention Christmas - and see if anyone out there still cares. I've thought of a few possible subjects (unfortunately only you would read 100 horses, lol), but I did think about splitting it between books, films and TV programmes and why they've remained in my head.

My Friend Flicka and the series of novels by Mary O'Hara was read till they almost fell to bits when I was a teenager. I've still got them stored in a box.

Oh dear, Christmas! lol. I shall look forward to hearing about it. And yes, that does sounds like a very doable theme for you (incidentally, someone on my flist is doing 100 things horses taught me ;)), and I could pick up a lot of new books I'm sure! (Kingkiller trilogy #2 is on its way to Denmark soon btw :D)

Tell me when it arrives. I feel I must not be far behind you in this, lol.

I will let you know when Amazon deigns to inform me!

So true. Important life lesson #2: never allow a horse to use you as a head scratching post while wearing your best white t-shirt.

I don't think your f-list would tire of anything you came up with. :) But it seems like lots of categories or themes would easily break down into sub-themes, if that makes it easier?

I have been thinking about how to talk about both art and fitness... They don't seem to mesh very well, but they are really all I'm doing these days, when I'm not working or hanging out with friends.
no subject
Thank you for being sporadic. :) I will be soon.

I've been feeling all bad about the whiny missive I sent you last month. Things really are better now, for whatever reason, so don't mind me!
no subject
Good. :) But it makes me feel I can be
whinyhonest in return, so never worry.no subject
I'll look forward to reading your personal adventures, which I always enjoy, as they vary from geology to culinary and more.

What's that saying? "Come to the Dark Side, as we have cookies"? ;)
no subject
No need to friend back, hope you don't mind, etc. :D

But I'm a little embarrassed, because I strongly suspect that after all the globetrotting you've done, nothing I post about will feel like an adventure to you, heh.
Probably one more Canadaventure post to come, but then I'll move on to some other part of the world... They won't all be travel, either, but probably mostly.
