I finally had chance to read this! I liked it very much. A lovely happy moment with Caz and Betriz tempered in a nice way with Caz's usual inferiority complex ;) And I loved Betriz's determined "well he can't refuse anyway as the Royina already agreed" :) It says a lot about both their characters in just a few lines. I also liked the insight into dy Ferrej's mind, it's always nice to see the viewpoint of a more minor character and it really worked well here to see the two men's perspective on the situation, whilst predictably Caz thinks he'll judge him badly for it even now,dy Ferrej is thankful that he didn't judge the book by the cover. And his fatherly pride/relief in Betriz's choice is lovely to see.

Great job, please write some more Chalion fic! (I think I was challeneged to write some also, must get around to that eventually ;) )
